The "BRUSSELS DANCE CONTEST" is an international solo competition for contemporary dancers.
The Final will take place on December 2, 2023 at the Centre Culturel d’Uccle, in Brussels.
The aim of the BRUSSELS DANCE CONTEST is to promote contemporary dance and to help talented dancers to start a career and to build up their professional network.
The competition is open to contemporary dancers of all nationalities, aged between 18 and 30 on the day of registration.
The competition jury is composed of personalities and professionals of the choreographic and contemporary dance sector.
The competition is divided into four phases, the registration period, two qualifying rounds and a final round:
1st phase: registration 2023 / Registration COMPLETED
2nd phase: video selection for the semi-final / from May 1 to May 15, 2023 / COMPLETED
3rd phase: semi-final, selection for the final / 4th and 5th of November, 2023 / COMPLETED
4th phase: final on stage, in front of the jury and the public / December 2, 2023.
The 10 finalists will present their 5-minute solo during the Festival Antigone 2023, on the stage of the theater of the Centre Culturel d’Uccle (www.CCU.be) in Brussels
